欧 州 で は 人 が 、文 化 人 、学 者 、作 家 ら を 招 い て 、知 的 な 会 話 を 楽 し み 、日 本 で も 江 戸 時 代 に 多 く の 文 化 人 が サ ロ ン を 形 成 し 、 公 家 、武 家 、町 衆 、文 人 と い っ た 身 分 を 超 え た 交 流 を し 、そ の 中 で 新 た な 美 的 感 覚 が 醸 成 さ れ て い た 。

ここmodernでは髪を整えるというhair salonという用途、目的を超え、人々が集まり、交流をが生まれるような多様な「~salon]を目指す。
